On August 23, 2023, a teacher training workshop was held, led by Mr. Hung Chun Wah, to review the achievements of STEM teaching in our school in the year of 22-23. In the past year, teachers practiced the design of STEM teaching activities, so that children could "learn by doing", and learn the living science knowledge, and the result was very successful and ideal.
In this year, we continued to develop the slogan of "Science Games: Playing with Science". Mr. Hung Chun Wah's professional presentation enabled teachers to have a deeper understanding of the "5E (Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Engage and Evaluate) Teaching and Learning Design for Early Childhood STEM Classroom", and through the experience of exploring the parachute and periscope, teachers could discuss, try and think about it to find out more about it. Through the "Parachute" and "Periscope" exploratory experiences, teachers can discuss with each other, try and think to find out the scientific principles, and deepen their skills in leading science activities. Teachers actively and seriously "learn through play" to master scientific concepts, enhance their practical effectiveness, and look forward to applying what they have learned in the classroom to learn and grow together with our young children.
