18 March 2024 The teacher led our K1 Class to visit the Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (HKSPCA). Firstly, the staff introduced different kinds of animals to the children so that they could learn about the needs and feelings of animals, and learn the attitude of caring for animals and respecting life; and then, through the animation, they learned that pets are our good friends, and that we need to spend time to accompany and take care of them.

Afterwards, the staff led the children to the Adoption Department to visit the animals to be adopted, including turtles, parrots, hamsters, rabbits and even lizards, as well as the kennels and catteries. The enthusiastic puppies and kittens seemed to welcome the children and kept wagging their tails, woofing, and meowing, and the children sympathized with the sick kittens by saying, "He has lost his eye! In the process, the children showed their infinite love and learned that small animals have precious lives and should be well cared for!
